Josh Hallock

USPTO
Regional Outreach Officer
Josh directs outreach and stakeholder engagement and serves as the chief advisor in support of Rocky Mountain Regional Director Molly Kocialski’s strategic plans for maintaining and enhancing the visibility of the office and its services to the wider intellectual property (IP) and maker communities across nine states. Josh was a natural fit for this position: he is a skilled communicator who understands the business of government and has a voracious appetite for all things IP – from regulatory activities within USPTO as well as recent Supreme Court rulings. He also well adept at establishing enterprise-level programs and developing influential business relationships nationally. Now honing in at the local level, and in a region from which he hails, Josh‘s acumen as a business accelerator and as a connector is as sharp as ever. Most of his work entails engaging with key leaders across the region from federal and state legislators, to local Chambers of Commerce, entrepreneurs and independent inventors, startups, law schools and other community ‘movers and shakers’ that can all help to amplify messages to their constituents about USPTO’s STEM-focused initiatives, as well as USPTO Rocky Mountain’s free IP conferences, webinars, tools and resources.
